Hybrid Real Estate leases and manages fully-furnished, move-in ready homes in Port Melbourne, Victoria 3207. It pairs a working waterfront with one of the calmest beaches in the inner city, and it is close enough to town that plenty of our tenants walk or ride in. Homes come styled and equipped, so you can arrive with a suitcase and be settled the same night.

Why renters choose Port Melbourne

A beach that stays quiet

Port Melbourne beach and the foreshore trail are wide, flat and far less crowded than St Kilda. The trail runs straight through to Elwood and Brighton, so a morning ride or run does not involve a single road crossing.

Bay Street does the whole week

Bay Street is a complete high street inside a few blocks: supermarket, cafes, pubs, a cinema and services. Most weekly errands happen on foot, which is exactly what you want in your first month somewhere new.

New stock beside old

Beacon Cove and the waterfront brought a lot of modern apartment stock, while the older streets behind it hold Victorian cottages and converted warehouses. You get a real choice of building type in a small area.

What a furnished rental in Port Melbourne looks like

Furnished rentals in Port Melbourne split between modern waterfront apartments, often with parking and a balcony, and furnished cottages or townhouses in the older grid behind Bay Street. Two bedroom apartments are the most common furnished configuration. Parking is more available here than in most inner suburbs, which matters if you are bringing a car.

Getting around

The 109 tram runs the length of the suburb from the waterfront to the CBD in about 20 minutes, and the 96 and 12 serve the eastern edge. The West Gate Freeway and CityLink are close, which makes Port Melbourne one of the easier inner suburbs to drive from.

Common questions

Is Port Melbourne good for renters with a car?

Better than most inner suburbs. A larger share of furnished stock here includes secure parking, and freeway access is close. Confirm parking per property.

How far is Port Melbourne from the Melbourne CBD?

Roughly 20 minutes on the 109 tram, or about 5 kilometres by road. Many tenants ride in along the foreshore and Southbank.

Do you have furnished houses in Port Melbourne or only apartments?

Both. Furnished cottages and townhouses come up in the streets behind Bay Street, alongside the waterfront apartment stock.
