Hybrid Real Estate leases and manages fully-furnished, move-in ready homes in Ripponlea, Victoria 3185. It is one of the smallest suburbs we cover and one of the greenest, sitting between Elwood, Balaclava and Elsternwick with a heritage estate at its centre and its own station on the Sandringham line. Homes come styled and equipped, so you can arrive with a suitcase and be settled the same night.

Why renters choose Ripponlea

A National Trust estate in the middle of it

Rippon Lea Estate and its heritage gardens sit at the centre of the suburb. That is the reason the streets around it are so green and so protected from development, and it is not something you can say about many pockets this close to the city.

Quiet, but never cut off

There is very little through traffic here, which you notice immediately. Glen Huntly Road, Carlisle Street and Elsternwick's restaurants and cinema are all still within a few minutes, so quiet does not mean inconvenient.

Its own station

Ripponlea station is on the Sandringham line, so the city is one straightforward trip with nothing to change. For a suburb this small and this leafy, that is unusually good.

What a furnished rental in Ripponlea looks like

Ripponlea furnished stock is limited and mostly period: interwar apartment blocks and converted houses on the streets around the estate, generally one and two bedroom, with high ceilings and original detail. Because the suburb is small, availability is thin and it moves quickly. Register your requirements early rather than waiting for a listing.

Getting around

Common questions

Why is furnished stock so limited in Ripponlea?

The suburb is very small and heritage protected, so few properties reach the furnished rental market at any one time. Registering your brief early is the practical answer.

Is Ripponlea good for a quiet lease?

It is the quietest suburb on our list. Very little through traffic and a lot of green space, while still being on the train line.

What is nearby if Ripponlea has nothing available?

Balaclava and Elwood are immediately next door and have far more furnished stock. The leasing team will suggest both.
